looking for program to capture video clips on the internet

It would be nice to right click a movie clip on the internet and choose save
it to one's hard drive for later viewing. As this does not seem to be an
option then is there freeware out there that will capture the picture and
sound much like the myriad of programs out there that will capture streaming
sounds on the internet?
If there are such programs then none showed up in searches. So could any of
you guys post your favorites and the URLs
