It is a button with only a picture on it. You find it on the same bar as
the <[ ] Rev Sort by> checkbox. It is on the most right side, alongside
the 3 filter drop-down lists. Until you hit that button, nothing you
selected or changed in this bar will take affect.

You need "Rev-sort-by#Tread,Date" or "Rev-sort-by#Date". The latter can
also be accomplished by clicking onto the column header of the date
column. Depending of your current sorting you need to click either once
or twice. You see a small triangle alongside the word "date" in the
column header indicating the search direction.
