When you have a problem with FF try starting Firefox in safe mode (look
in the your Windows Start menu for this option). If it starts up then
you will know it is one or more of your extensions. You will have to
manually disable them all and then re-enable them one at a time until
you find the culprit(s). Here is a list of problematic extensions that
might be helpful to you. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions

Another solution is to do a clean install. Make a backup of your
bookmarks with MozBackup. Uninstall Firefox, make sure that the folder
you installed FF to has been deleted. Then rename your current profile
to something that you will remember (alternatively you could also just
delete the profile). Now you can re-install FF 1.5.0.2. A new profile
folder will be created when you start your browser.

Hope this is helpful.
