The problem as I see it is this. Tramp posts lots of garbage (spyware,
shareware, trialware). The only way to really know if his recommendations
are "safe", for me at least, is to spend a lot of time Googling for links
about such and such program or utility in order to see what various security
companies say about it-for example: What does Tom Coyote have to say about
it? What does Panda say about it? Bleepingcomputer? Castlecops? Trend
micro? and others, such as various forums? It is that- or download and find
out myself and maybe regret it. Fuck all that. To avoid all that crap and
wasted time, I find that I do not have to do all that simply by trusting
various regulars in this group because I know that they have done their
homework and they pass on things that are safe in the security area. If
Tramp wants to really be a valued contributor I suggest he investigate his
offerings a little more. But note that he has already boasted that he posts
crap to piss people off. What does that say about him?
