I'm not sure what you want me to say about the posts that are
actually freeware. If you find good freeware among his floods, it
might help to post followups identifying it as such, to help people
who avoid all of his suggestions because of the ad/spyware thrown in.

I didn't take it as an insult -- I just put it in quotes because I
wasn't sure what folks you meant to refer to. AFAICR, only one person
has both thanked him for the freeware posts and also requested that he
stop posting the other stuff.

The reaction is a bit stronger from some people because he does it
on purpose, with the stated intention to annoy. Along with his history
of morphing to avoid being ignored, this makes it hard to argue that he
hasn't been trolling.

No, not that you shouldn't. But I do find it ironic that your
reaction to the complaint posts was to . . . make complaint posts
about them.
