I didn't know there was another program which did this....I have used
WatchCat for years

In fact, it loads at startup for me, and I have hotkeys set (alt-x,
right under left hand) to instantly hide the in-focus window....a
longer form to un-hide. WatchCat does a number of other tricks also.
