Software to capture from webcam one file per image

de Colin 04/23/2006 10:03

Greetings all,
I'm looking for some freeware s/w that will capture images from a web cam to
provide input to some Stop motion animation for students.

We intend to use M$ Movie maker ( thats that we already have at the school)
and then feed in multiple pics that the students will capture via the web
cam.

So far I can find s/w that will capture frame by frame upon command, Or
capture a frame every so many seconds......
but will then output the captured pictures as an AVI, or animated gif.

Would like to give the children the opportunity to manipulate the result,
and "fix" any picture thathey may have messed up.

In short I think I'm looking for something that will capture a frame/picture
upon command ( mouse click etc) and then output that frame ,( with
sequential filenaming) ...
then we will able to manipulate the pictures into something usable later
one.. This will also assist in students being able to collect / produce
their captured pictures over a few weeks, and then assemble into the
finished product at a later time..
Sounds straightforward, but I'm having trouble pinning something down....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards
Colin ( C3 )
