Are you using a web proxy like Anonymizer to protect the
privacy of your web browsing? That can cause such messages,
because when you hide your location Google thinks thousands of
search requests are coming from the same computer.

If that's not the reason, do a little digging:
http://www.google.com/search?q=google+%22your+query+looks+similar+to+automated+requests%22

A more appropriate Usenet newsgroup for this would be
<news:alt.internet.search-engines>
