Ah, but you see, that's because you buy CRAP FROM DELL OR HP OR GATEWAY.
Get a clue.
Buy a "white box" from some Chinese guys in a local store that uses
standard parts AND gives you a REAL FULL MICROSOFT WINDOWS INSTALL CD -
instead of some useless "recovery CD" or "recovery partition" (that dies
when Windows hoses your partition table.)
Anybody who buys a "name brand" PC gets what they deserve.
Read my lips. PCs are a COMMODITY - like sugar or salt. Buy it that way.
Forget buying "name brands" (except maybe for laptops where you want to be
sure somebody had the engineering resources to make the goddamn
proprietary POS work - and even then you won't be sure.)
