Thanks for the feedback, Jeff.
I'm test-driving Borg Calendar(sourceforge.net/projects/borg-calendar/).
It's a java app that's been around for a few years now. Quite stable,
it has calendar, project, task, contact, email reminder & memo functions.
It's worth a look at least.
