I just installed it and gave it a try. Pretty nice layout and a lot of
info. However, the Description field for most drivers are blank (to be
fair, this probably isn't the fault of the program but rather reflects
the fact that driver coders don't include this info in what they write.)
Couple of things I like about it is that clicking on a column heading
actually works and sorts the results properly. Also, you can take a
snapshot of the system as well as compare a saved snapshot with a new
one. It's kind of like Process Explorer or a2hijackfree on steroids.
Regarding your concerns:
1. IMO, 43 added registry keys isn't a lot by today's standards, I can
live with this.
2. As for the phoning home, I didn't observe that behavior. Of course,
this may be due to one of my more global firewall settings. Can you
provide the server address it was trying to connect with and the protocol?
