What's your point? I wasted ten hours or more trying to make this
function work. While doing so, I discovered that Puppy has serious
problems handling memory, and basically does not function as
documented.

I've posted the results to save others the time and frustration of
making the same discoveries the hard way.

So what's your objection? Isn't this what this newsgroup is for?

Well, I'm very happy for you. Of course, you DO have USB support in
BIOS, maybe not USB boot support, or Wake_Pup wouldn't be able to
access your USB stick.

As for asking the author to provide PCMCIA support - I think he's got
far more serious deficiencies in his distro to deal with, starting
with memory management. And frankly, I doubt he has the ability to do
it.
