Yes, their product can be aquired for FREE, so it must be a sales marketing

No mate, get rid of Norton, it's bad news. As you have been advised Spybot
& AdAware are miles ahead of Norton and are free. The other one recommended
I haven't heard of till now, so I can't comment.
But anybody who recommends the other two can't be all bad, so I'd listen to
them..
