Reading pdf coding

de Benjamin 01/16/2007 11:36

I did some massive cleanup of some emails a year ago and inadvertently saved
some pdf attachments as text files. I still have the file intact, but it
appears as pdf coding (? if that's what it is?) The documents were pdf
attachments to text emails.

I tried reading the text file with Adobe (logical to me) but didn't work. I
tried converstion to a couple of other formats with editplus but still
didn't work. This never happened to me before, so I'm not sure what to do.
They were originally in OE5 and I was simply dragging them to the hard drive
(those convert fine when I remember to save the attachment properly).

Is there any conversion utility, or simply a viewer, that would read these?
They were legal documents so otherwise I really wouldn't bother.

Bottom line, I should have been more careful, and I should have saved
backups. But I didn't and now I expect I'll learn a lesson or two.

Thanks for any help.
