VLC request Instant replay button

I frequently would like a do over when watching a movie.
Having a button that will back up x amount of time would be very nice.
I wish VLC would start its own Usenet group. Having to set up a
username/password and have to book mark every forum is just not as
convenient as Usenet.
Another flaw about web based forums is that you can accidentally call
another web page and your current message post could disappear.
