Yep, that was one of the very first things I did to this system last
December when I put XP Home SP2 on it. I did this before I went online.

I've been running that from the start. However, I only have the "Disable
ZIP functionality" checked. WGA doesn't start up in the tray on my
system for some reason. In fact, for some reason it doesn't call home at
all. Yesterday, I double-clicked on its executable (WgaTray.exe) and it
immediately tried to call home. I set a permanent firewall rule blocking
it, but will probably have to temporarily disable it to get critical
updates.
