India has over 100 million people who have to spend every waking hour just
scrambling to get enough money to buy enough food to live another day. It's
not much of a life, but they bring children into it who either die or spend
every day of their lives in near starvation. The keys to that situation are
employment, money and birth control. Abortion is part of that but it is not
the only answer.
Abortion of female babis in INdia, however, is silly because selling sex
with their daughters to any man who can pay the price is one of the chief
sources of income for families. Not just in India either. Inflation double
digit unemployment in Iran has girls as young as 10 selling themselves on
the streets just to get enough to eat to survive.
